Keeping Up Appearances Empty Keeping Up Appearances

Post by Mizuki Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:33 pm

Mizuki sat at her desk with a pen in one hand and a paper in the other. She read it through carefully, twice, before deciding it was alright to sign. She sighed heavily and groaned. There was so much paperwork nowadays. She could never just chill out and let time pass her by. She missed when she was able to do that. Shia rested at her feet and looked up at her as she let out a gigantic yawn. Mizuki looked down at her wolf companion and rolled her eyes. "You mind not doing that while i'm trying to work?" She asked with a grin. Shia seemed to stick out her tongue as the she-wolf got onto her feet...Well, paws. "It aint my fault that you're easily distracted," She snorted with a wolfish smirk. The two of them were accustomed to arguing with one another. It made things less dull.

After a good few hours of both insanely pointless and strangely amusing bickering, the two of them settled down. Mizuki polished off what was left of her paperwork and Shia curled up and went right back to sleep. Mizuki stepped over her carefully and sat on the edge of one of the windows, staring out at the village as she normally did. She leaned her head against the glass with an air of boredom. She really wanted to be out there with everyone else as a normal person but she knew people would make a fuss of her. It wouldn't be too much to ask for to be able to go for a walk without being smothered, would it? She sighed. Glory wasn't something she wanted, asked for or, in her opinion, even deserved. Her mother, on the other hand, DID deserve it. Once again, she was thinking too much. Her breath was beginning to fog the window but she was too out of it to notice.

Eventually, she snapped out of it and slapped her hand to her forehead. "Baka, why do i always worry about things so much?" She muttered to herself as she got up, heading for the door. She was just going to go out there and be herself. Smile and be polite to everyone who noticed her, she reminded herself of that as she exited the building. She wasn't wearing her Kage robes: Just a blue crop top and a pair of black skinny jeans. Her jet black hair was down, blowing loosely about her shoulders. She didn't look like a leader, she looked more like a shinobi on their day off or just a civilian for that matter. If anyone from a different village saw her then, it was unlikely that they'd notice her or pick up on who she was.
